Does my child need to have sewing experience?
No. I teach beginner, intermediate and advanced sewists. I can accommodate all learners. These two workshops are specially for beginners. However, if your child has intermediate sewing skills I will demonstrate & guide more advanced techniques of construction.
Do I need to supply a sewing machine?
It is better if your child learns on their own machine so that they develop skills and confidence on a machine you have access to at home! However, I have a range of machines available for hire for just $5 per session. Please let me know prior to class, so that it is reserved and set up for you.
Do I need to buy fabric?
No. For the above events all fabric and trim is provided.
Can I leave my child in your care?
Yes. I hold QLD College of Teachers registration. You are welcome to leave your child in my care if you like. You are also very welcome to stay for the duration of the event if preferred. If staying for the lesson bring a magazine or book and relax in the room adjacent.
What ages are welcome?
7 + If your child is younger, assess their capabilities. If they will be interested and patient for a 2 hour session they are most welcome. I have trained from 6 years of age.
How do I reserve my place?
Pay via direct debit. Prepay essential to secure your place.
