Co-curricular Programs

Are you starting a new textiles or fashion program at your school?

Do you have new students entering a fashion course with no previous sewing experience?

Are you overwhelmed and making many school costumes?

Our fashion co-curricular programs are designed in consultation with your teachers, so that the skills and techniques explored are relevant to your school programs and student needs.

Why should I offer a fashion co-curricular at my school?

·         Build interest in your subject

·         Opportunity for extension of student skill

·         Students can apply new skills in the classroom and become “leaders” of their subject

·         Encourage students to pursue creative industries

·         You can utilise the resources we use. (Any patterns and instructions prepared, will be given to teachers too!)

How long do programs run?

·         Programs are term long

How does it work?

·         I utilise your classroom space, so students are familiar with the space and getting to class is easy. I can supply all my own tools- or use yours, so that students learn where to return items. This is decided in consultation with your school.

·         Co-curricular programs run before or after school. Times are set in consultation with your school.

·         Choose a program from our existing options or we can design a program in consultation with your school.

·         Students bring their own fabric and notions, unless specified.

How many students?

Classes range from 3-10 students depending on the program chosen. This ensures students receive one-on-one assistance from the teacher.
